Mastopexy (Breast Lift)
How is the Breast Lift performed?
Placement of the implants can be performed by the armpit, the lower border of the areola or by the sub mammary groove, in case of an endoscopic mammary surgery are introduced through the navel. Breast implants are placed behind the mammary gland or pectoral muscle, this muscle covers and isolates the prosthesis of the breast tissue respecting the natural anatomy of the breast.
Technique:
The vertical technique is used, in which only one scar remains around the areola and a vertical one from the areola to the inframammary furrow. This avoids the horizontal or T-scar, which is usually the most visible, but in some cases it is necessary.
